About Her
I recently returned to Jo'burg after some years in Cape Town and am struggling to settle back here. I need a companion for random suppers at home, exploring different small restaurants, shows, weekends away and friendship. So many of my friends have moved away and I'm ready to create a new circle of buddies.
I am called the Little Green Queen for my work in encouraging individuals and companies to "go green". Not a fanatic, but a concerned thought leader.
Spent most of my life teaching or working in many other fields during my travels. Ended up in a big corporation, which I hated. Started my own website and now run a small, successful website and service for sustainable living and ethical consumption for homes, tourism and hospitality.
I absolutely love what I do and after 40 years of ankle-biting, it seems people are finally is ready to listen about sustainable lifestyle. After being mocked and called a tree hugger for all those years, I now (much to my utter amazement) win awards. Grin! I work too hard, but I love what I do.
I have lived in the UK, Canada and USA. Africa seduced me back and am so glad I came home.
Uncomplicated. Intelligent. Fun. Love travel. Always mistaken for being 10 years younger than I am because of my energy and starting my family later than my comtemporaries.
I am gregarious. fun and out-going in the right company, but sometimes shy and also treasure solitude and quiet time for introspection and meditation. Being cherished, does not mean being owned.
At this stage, as I mentioned above, I really only want a best friend / buddy who lives nearby. Spontaneous good conversation, laughter, suppers, shows, weekends away and .... maybe ...join me to see the parts of the world I still need to tick off of my bucket list.
