In Lou Reed´s song "Perfect Day" he writes in diary form about the events that combine to make a "Perfect Day". It's a day that resonates with the beauty of love, where he and his lover sit in the park and drink Sangria, feed animals in the zoo, go to a movie etc.
My own sense of longing is like that: an enigmatic yearning of the soul, a feeling about the need for another, for that reflection of the light of God that comes from deep down and blasts through our wounds.
